There are many alternatives to Catholic education, but there is no substitute

Dear SJM Families,
TAKE THE SURVEY:
HAIRCUTS: Please be cautious about the boys’ haircuts. No sculptured or faddish cuts. Thanks for respecting off the collar, off the ears, out of the eyes and no extreme hair styles.
DEADLINE: The deadline for applying for financial aid is June 10. If you are in a better position and do not need aid, we are happy to hear that. If you have a need, you must apply to be considered. Apply online with FACTS Grant & Aid. Put yourself in the best possible position to qualify for registration and aid by bringing your account up to date before you apply.
Children of Catholic education are an unquestioned success story. God bless you for your commitment to Catholic education. You are a part of a very special legacy at St. Justin Martyr School. We want you in our future.
WAY TO GO SECOND GRADE: Good luck on your First Communion Day Saturday, May 13.
FAITH FACT: The Ascension of the Lord – Ascension is the bodily ascension of Jesus into heaven. Ascension Thursday always falls 40 days after Easter (counting both Easter and Ascension Thursday), but since the date of Easter changes every year, the date of Ascension does as well. In some dioceses (ecclesiastical provinces) of the U.S., celebration of the Ascension has been moved to the following Sunday. Unlike the Gregorian calendar (what we use), the Julian calendar celebrates Ascension on a different date from Catholics. This date can be calculated by adding five weeks and four days to the date of Eastern Orthodox Easter.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. (Nelson Mandela)
